Tyttebær, (accinium vitis-idaea ), cowberries , foxberry , this berry have many name. It`s a beautyful sight in the woods in autum. We make lovely jam of them , and it taste so good as a part of a real good meal of deer steak. This year with all the rain , there are lots of them. Hello. First of all forgive me as I don't speak or write Norwegian. I am very happy to come across your blog in English about Rollag. I live in the U.S. and visited Rollag a few years ago with my husband and had the pleasure of meeting some relatives! My ancestors immigrated to Minnesota in 1849 and history shows our family to go back to the Kongsjorden Prestmoens in 1609. The valley was one of the most beautiful places I have seen.
I will visit your site often to enjoy more of Rollag and it's people!
